Job summary

Curai Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help transform healthcare with AI and clinical expertise. You will work across the stack on high‑impact projects, drive API and system design, and collaborate with ML researchers, physicians, PMs and UX researchers.

You will develop and update user‑facing features, ensure API consistency, and contribute to architecture decisions while maintaining robust testing and CI practices.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional experience as a full‑stack engineer delivering features from design to delivery.
• Professional experience with React—components, hooks, state management, and performance.
• Python backend experience, ideally with async frameworks (FastAPI, Starlette).
• Experience with both NoSQL and relational databases (e.g., DynamoDB, PostgreSQL) and data modeling for access patterns.
• Comfort with asynchronous workflows—background jobs, retries, idempotency, and eventual consistency.
• Demonstrated experience raising product excellence using testing—e2e coverage, visual regression testing, CI.
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Terraform, AI/ML technologies, Git, and RESTful services.

Responsibilities

• Work across the stack to drive high‑leverage projects from concept through to completion.
• Up‑leveling the team on API or system design, building applications, cloud infrastructure, or healthcare data.
• Collaborate with diverse teams including software engineers, ML researchers, physicians, PMs, and UX researchers.
• Develop and update user‑facing features and improve existing ones.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to standardize APIs and frontend interactions.
• Lead cross‑team architecture decisions and detailed technical specifications.
• Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests for new features.
• Work with stakeholders using Agile practices to define, negotiate, and estimate features.
