Job summary

Curai is transforming healthcare with AI-powered care experiences that diagnose, treat, and prescribe through conversation. This Senior Software Engineer will shape the architecture of Curai Health’s AI product, building a universal React Native app and a FastAPI service orchestrating LLM agents and clinical logic.

You will collaborate with a diverse team, drive cross-stack improvements, and own features from concept to production in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer
• Proficient with React: components, hooks, state management, performance
• Python backend experience with async frameworks (FastAPI, Starlette)
• Experience with NoSQL and relational databases (DynamoDB vs Postgres)
• Comfort with asynchronous workflows and idempotent/retry patterns
• Strong testing focus: e2e coverage, visual regression testing, CI/CD
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Terraform, AI/ML technologies, Git, and RESTful services
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Drive high-leverage projects from concept through to completion
• Lead architectural decisions across the application
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including engineers, ML researchers, physicians, PMs, and UX researchers
• Develop and update user-facing features
• Establish consistent APIs across services and frontend patterns
• Produce detailed technical specifications and documentation
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Engage with product owners and stakeholders in Agile planning and estimation
