Job summary

Basata is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build AI-powered software used by clinics. You’ll own end-to-end features across the React/TypeScript frontend and Java/Spring Boot backend, with Python for AI/ML services, delivering robust, scalable systems.

You’ll mentor engineers, review designs, and partner with the CTO to shape architecture, standards, and cloud infrastructure. This is a fast-moving role focused on real patient impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience building full-stack web applications.
• Experience mentoring engineers and reviewing design work.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based agentic applications in production.
• Deep backend experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Strong frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications to cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable features across the stack (React/TypeScript frontend to Java/Spring Boot backend and Python AI/ML services).
• Collaborate with the CTO on architectural decisions and maintain standards for long-term scalability.
• Review PRs and designs to keep codebase coherent as the team grows.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; pair on hard problems and provide impactful feedback.
• Improve cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for faster, reliable releases.
• Partner with product and design stakeholders to translate healthcare workflows into simple UX.
• Champion testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E) and document processes.
