Job summary

Hopper is seeking a senior full stack engineer to anchor HTS Assist, owning realtime and voice layers end-to-end. You will build across React/TypeScript front ends, Scala and Python services, and cloud infrastructure on GCP/AWS.

The role emphasizes multi-tenant scale, safety guardrails, and high-availability deployments across partners. The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of production-grade software experience, strong frontend and backend skills, and comfort with AI tooling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering with production ownership.
• Strong frontend in React/TypeScript and backend in Scala or Python.
• Experience with real-time/low-latency systems and cloud infra.
• Design/ship RESTful APIs, microservices, or event-driven systems.
• Familiar with AI coding tools and keeping code quality high.

Responsibilities

• Own the voice channel end-to-end, incl. telephony and CPaaS integrations.
• Build features across stack: React front ends, Scala/Python services, GCP infra.
• Design for multi-tenant scale with one codebase and configurable partners.
• Implement safety, guardrails, content filtering, and PII redaction points.
• Maintain health with observability, alerts, on-call, and SLAs.
