Job summary

Fuel Talent LLC is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with a backend focus to design and build backend services powering next-generation voice products. You will work on real-time voice systems and pipelines, shaping architecture for scale and reliability.

You will collaborate with distributed teams across the US and Europe, using async-first norms, and contribute to AI-assisted coding and modern cloud-based infrastructures. This role requires Seattle presence three days per week.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong depth in TypeScript or Python with ability to work in other languages.
• Experience with Node.js backend development and modern web-service patterns.
• Experience with VoIP or telephony technologies (SIP/RTP/WebRTC) or strong interest to learn.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write clear tickets/PRs.
• Autonomy on well-scoped work; ability to drive to completion without hand-holding.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and APIs from scratch using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Build real-time voice systems with SIP/RTP, STT/TTS pipelines and low latency.
• Shape foundational architecture for a scalable platform.
• Maintain real-time, high-availability voice environments and APIs.
• Collaborate across US and Europe teams using async-first workflows.
• Occasional cross-stack work with strong backend focus; hybrid Seattle role (3 days/week).
