Job summary

Owner, a remote-first company supporting local businesses, is seeking a mission-driven senior engineer. This 100% remote role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada, with optional in-person HQ collaboration in San Francisco for some roles.

You will build and scale our web platform, working across frontend and backend stacks, and contribute to product strategy and code quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building applications.
• Extensive TypeScript experience.
• Experience scaling with frontend stack (React, Next.js) and/or backend stack (Node.js, Mongo, AWS).
• Experience at product-focused startup/scale-up or technology company.

Responsibilities

• Build new products and features from concept to shipping.
• Take ownership of projects and ensure modular, maintainable code.
• Deliver value across the system with attention to performance and security.
• Collaborate with teammates in roadmap planning and user discussions.
• Provide code reviews and guidance to peers.
