Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience building and shipping production-grade, full-stack web applications.
• Experience mentoring engineers and reviewing design work, with examples of feedback that changed the outcome.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining LLM-based agentic applications in production is essential.
• Deep expertise in backend development using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Strong proficiency with modern frontend development using React and TypeScript.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications to modern cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality features across the entire stack, from our React/TypeScript frontend to our Java/Spring Boot backend and Python for AI/ML services.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO on key architectural decisions and help define and maintain the architectural standards the team builds against.
• Review pull requests and design proposals from other engineers, and hold the line on design and software-Engineering principles.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers: review their designs, pair on hard problems, and give actionable feedback.
• Contribute to and improve cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to ensure a fast, reliable development and release cycle.
• Partner with product and design stakeholders to translate complex healthcare workflows into simple, intuitive experiences.
• Champion software quality by implementing comprehensive testing strategies and promoting best practices.
• Write clear documentation for code, architecture, and processes.
• Contribute to product and UX thinking, shaping what gets built.
