Job summary

Ares seeks an Associate Vice President, Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and deliver technology solutions powering the firm’s global credit investment platform. This hands-on role will contribute to APIs, data services, and platform capabilities across the credit investment lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have experience in modern full-stack development, cloud-native architectures, microservices, and data platforms.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or related field required.
5-8 years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications.
Experience in financial services, credit/investment platforms preferred.
Proficient in Java/Python with front-end React/TypeScript skills.
Strong API, integration, and microservices experience.
Experience with cloud-native architecture and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Hands-on software development across front-end, back-end, integration, and data layers.
Build and maintain APIs, services, and user-facing applications for credit workflows.
Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and production support.
Drive scalable, maintainable software aligned with engineering standards.
Partner with leadership on architecture and platform modernization.
Collaborate with Product Management, Investment Technology, and business stakeholders.
