Job summary

Ares is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop and deliver technology solutions powering the firm’s global credit investment platform. You will contribute to scalable applications, APIs, data services and platform capabilities across credit lifecycle.

The role is highly hands-on, requiring collaboration with Credit Engineering Lead on architecture, standards and modernization, with strong preference for experience in financial services and investment

Qualifications

• BS in computer science or related field required.
• 5–8 years of software engineering delivering enterprise applications.
• Experience in Agile software development environments.
• Financial services experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Proficiency with APIs, integration patterns and data services.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on software engineering across front-end, back-end, integration and data layers.
• Build and maintain APIs, services and user-facing applications.
• Contribute to code reviews, design reviews and production support.
• Drive scalable, maintainable software aligned with engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Investment Technology teams.
