Job summary

Peraton is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Software Engineer to design and deliver core platform services for secure, scalable satellite ground communications. You will build backend services in Python, develop APIs, and craft responsive front-end components, with a focus on security, reliability, and MBSE alignment.

You’ll work across cross-functional teams, implement RBAC/ABAC, and contribute to cloud-based deployments on AWS, using modern tooling and CI/CD to ensure mission-critical performance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software experience with advanced Python backend and APIs.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and stored procedures.
• RBAC/ABAC authentication and authorization implementation.
• Microservice architectures and backend service design.
• TypeScript frontend development and modern web tooling.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for deployment.
• Experience on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Zero Trust development practices and secure coding.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews.
• Ability to work with MBSE and Test teams; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Build multi-tenant backend services on public clouds like AWS.
• Architect and implement APIs and backend services with emphasis on security and maintainability.
• Translate requirements into technical specs and designs.
• Present designs to engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with MBSE and Test teams to align models with implementation.
• Develop Python backend components and platform-level automation.
• Design UI components for consistent, accessible frontend features.
• Implement authentication/authorization mechanisms (RBAC/ABAC).
• Develop microservices and service-to-service communication patterns.
• Investigate and resolve production issues; support platform deployment.
