Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mid-level Full Stack Software Engineer - SATCOM to design and develop platform services for secure, scalable satellite ground communications. You’ll work on backend in Python, PostgreSQL DB structures, microservices with OAuth 2.0/JWT, and frontend in TypeScript, contributing across the stack within an Agile team.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in sprint activities, and help ensure solutions meet system requirements and program objectives,

Qualifications

• Associate/Bachelor/Master degree options with relevant experience.
• Top-Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI required.
• Python backend development experience.
• PostgreSQL database design and development experience.
• Microservice architecture and security (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
• Frontend development with TypeScript and modern UI frameworks.
• Git-based source control (GitHub/GitLab).
• Agile Scrum methodologies and software practices.
• Containerization/orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Knowledge of message-driven or event-driven development.
• RBAC/ABAC access-control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services in Python, including APIs and automation.
• Build and maintain PostgreSQL structures (queries, triggers, functions).
• Implement microservices and security using OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Contribute to frontend development with TypeScript and UI frameworks.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning, code reviews, and delivery.
• Investigate and resolve production issues with structured troubleshooting.
• Use Git-based version control and collaborate on code reviews.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for deployment.
