Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Sr. Full-Stack Engineer to take ideas from prototype to production for an initial cohort of customers. You will build end-to-end product experiences across modern web apps and cloud services, applying strong engineering judgment to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong frontend skills with modern JS frameworks.
• Strong backend skills with API design and security.
• Hands-on AWS experience for production workloads.
• Experience with microservices and API-first architectures.
• Experience building AI-enabled product features.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end product experiences from concept to production.
• Prototype concepts, validate feasibility and user value.
• Design AI-powered capabilities across retrieval, context shaping, and personalization.
• Create REST microservices and maintain expert-level API design.
• Apply AI agents and modern tooling to speed development workflows.
• Establish clear architecture and runbooks; document tradeoffs.
• Champion quality practices: testing, CI/CD, observability, cost-aware design.
• Collaborate with product/design/research/data science and customers.
