Job summary

Pearson is seeking an experienced Sr. Full-Stack Engineer to take ideas from prototype to production-ready releases for an initial cohort of customers.

You will build end-to-end product capabilities across modern web experiences and cloud services, leveraging AI agents and developer toolsets to accelerate prototyping and testing. This remote role involves occasional travel for in-person collaboration with colleagues and customers and requires strong problem-solving in a large enterprise

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong frontend skills with modern JS frameworks (React/Next.js).
• Strong backend skills with API design, authentication, and versioning across .NET/Node.js/Python.
• Experience with AWS, serverless or containers, and observability.
• Experience with microservices, API-first architectures, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Applied experience building AI-enabled product features (RAG or retrieval-based).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end product experiences from concept to production for initial customers.
• Prototype concepts, validate feasibility, and deploy secure production services.
• Design and manage AI-powered capabilities (RAG, context engineering, personalization).
• Create RESTful, versioned microservices; expose domain capabilities consistently.
• Leverage AI agents and tooling to accelerate development workflows.
• Produce architecture briefs, API specs, runbooks, and decision records.
• Champion code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and cost-aware design.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and customers to meet business outcomes.
• Ensure regulatory, security, and privacy requirements are satisfied.
