Happy Cog is a growing interactive agency with 70+ people, 100% remote. We design, develop, and market websites and mobile apps for diverse clients, using Next.js, React, React Native, Node.js, and Laravel.

We seek a Senior Full Stack Engineer who can lead projects, plan with AI agents, partner with project managers on scope and budgets, and drive high-quality architecture and client-facing delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in an agency setting.
• Full stack experience across frontend and backend tools and ecosystems.
• Experience building REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs.
• Hands-on experience using AI agents for planning and development.
• Experience leading a development team or acting as a technical lead.
• Comfort communicating requirements and trade-offs with clients.
• Experience building intuitive UI/UX and understanding user behavior.

Responsibilities

• Build new applications, websites, and features using Next.js, React, React Native, Node.js, and Laravel.
• Plan and implement work with AI agents using a spec-driven process and set development standards.
• Act as Technical Lead on projects, partnering with PMs on scope, estimates, and budget.
• Escalate technical issues, guide junior developers, and monitor architecture decisions and code quality.
• Contribute to high-level architecture planning and advise on approach and effort.
