Job summary

Happy Cog in the United States is seeking a Senior Full Stack Web/Mobile Application Engineer to drive client projects from conception through delivery. You’ll work across Next.js, React, React Native, Node.js, and Laravel, applying AI-driven spec planning and standards.

The role includes leading development teams, collaborating with project managers, and staying ahead on new technologies to deliver high-quality applications for a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years professional web/mobile development experience.
• Full stack exposure across frontend and backend toolchains.
• Experience building REST and GraphQL APIs and integrating with third-party APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents for planning in production codebases.
• Experience leading a development team and partnering on scope, estimates, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Build new applications, websites, and features using Next.js, React, React Native, Node.js, and Laravel.
• Plan work with AI agents using a spec-driven process and set development standards.
• Act as Technical Lead, guiding architecture, scope, and project budget together with PM.
• Escalate and mentor others on code quality and architectural decisions.
• Contribute to high-level architecture and advise on approach and effort.
• Tackle backend/infrastructure tasks like DB modeling, logging, and monitoring.
• Stay current with new development technologies and methodologies, and communicate with clients.
