Highlight Health is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join the platform team building a Claims Intelligence Platform that handles PHI with auditable, deterministic logic. You will own features end-to-end across backend and React frontend, mentor peers, and help shape architecture in a fast-growing healthtech environment.

You will work with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and React, applying AI-assisted development while maintaining security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Strong backend and frontend depth in Python and React.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI).

Responsibilities

• Build features end-to-end across backend services and the React frontend.
• Write core component logic with deterministic results.
• Review pull requests with architectural and security judgment.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers on the team.
• Apply sound judgment on when to use AI-assisted development tools, especially with sensitive data.
• Escalate architectural decisions to the lead engineer or CTO.
