Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to serve as the hands‑on technical anchor for our engineering team, owning architecture and critical‑path development while mentoring engineers who collaborate with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to translate goals into a technical roadmap and execution plan, while maintaining high standards of code quality and security.

The role requires 7+ years in large‑scale software development, 5+ years building scalable microservices

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale software development across applications, web services, and cloud-native tech.
• 5+ years designing and developing highly scalable microservices, web services, and REST APIs.
• 5+ years experience in Agile development environments.
• 3+ years building production-grade Python applications and services (API development with FastAPI/Flask)
• 3+ years with distributed messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS)
• 2+ years in a technical lead role, guiding initiatives and mentoring engineers
• 2+ years designing event-driven architectures and async integration patterns
• 2+ years building Python-based data pipelines or AI-agent workflows
• 2+ years deploying and operating services on cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• 2+ years with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and mentor others

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and critical-path development for the engineering team.
• Mentor engineers and set technical direction across projects.
• Partner with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to translate goals into a technical roadmap and execution plan.
