Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to own architecture and critical-path development. You will lead hands-on design, build, and code reviews while mentoring engineers across the team.

You’ll partner with product, architecture, and stakeholders to translate business goals into a technical roadmap, ensuring quality, security, and reliability at scale. This role emphasizes cloud, microservices, and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale software development using Java, Spring Boot, React, REST APIs and related tech.
• 5+ years designing and developing scalable microservices and REST APIs.
• 5+ years in Agile environments.
• 3+ years building production-grade Python apps and API development (FastAPI/Flask) with AI/ML integration.
• 3+ years with distributed messaging (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
• 2+ years in a technical lead role.
• 2+ years of event-driven architecture and async integration patterns.
• 2+ years building Python-based data pipelines or AI-agent workflows.
• 2+ years deploying services on cloud (GCP preferred) and using CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and critical-path development for the engineering team.
• Mentor engineers and guide technical direction across the team.
• Partner with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to translate goals into a technical roadmap.
• Design, build, and review code with emphasis on quality, security, and reliability.
