Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Engineer / Full Stack Engineer to build scalable backend services, data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-native solutions across AWS. The role involves Django/DRF, Nuxt/Vue frontend, and data transformation workflows using AWS Glue.

The ideal candidate will work across backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure in a distributed Agile environment, with a focus on secure, scalable systems and data quality.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python backend development with Django/DRF.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Hands-on with AWS serverless, Lambda, SQS/SNS, and data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, Django, and DRF.
• Build and document RESTful APIs using DRF, OpenAPI, and Swagger.
• Develop data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows with AWS Glue and Pandas/NumPy.
• Create frontend integrations with Nuxt 4, Vue 3, and TypeScript.
• Manage cloud infrastructure with AWS CDK (Python) and Terraform.
