Job summary

Amazon Logistics in Whitsett, NC, seeks a Sr. Station Leader to oversee all delivery station operations, ensuring safety, quality, performance and customer experience.

You will lead and develop a team across Operations, Area and Shift Managers, while driving lean initiatives and process improvements to meet ambitious business plans. You will own talent planning, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration with DSPs, Finance, IT and HR to secure resources and implement best

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 7+ years’ direct management experience in logistics, fulfillment, or distribution.
• Track record of delivering performance and financial results under pressure.
• Experience with performance metrics and lean techniques.
• Experience with full lifecycle staffing, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
• Strong analytical capability; data-driven problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills (including local language and English).
• Experience managing third party resources on a regional/national scale.
• Experience managing contingent workforce in a business with peak seasons.
• Flexible to work a variety of hours including overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for all delivery station operations
• Drives vision for station team and creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and lean initiatives
• Problem-solves for closing gaps between performance and goals
• Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations, Area and Shift Managers; measure performance and provide feedback
• Manage day-to-day relationships with multiple DSPs
• Present operational metrics to senior leadership
• Hire and develop top talent; create a talent plan for the site
• Leverage managers to source ideas and create improvement plans
• Cultivate strong culture and engagement across the delivery station team
• Share best practices across departments and the network
• Collaborate with Transport, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES and Engineering to secure support
