Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager to oversee budgetary, people development, and operational objectives at the Fulfillment Center. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching them to achieve performance goals while fostering strong employee relations.

The role emphasizes Lean process improvements, safety, quality, and customer experience, with collaboration across HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Sr. Operations Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or related field. MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives quality initiatives and Lean projects to meet/exceed business plan.
• Oversees safety, quality, and performance for Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Sets expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages managers by nurturing ideas into improvement plans across the functional area.
• Shares best practices across departments and shifts.
