Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Sr. Operations Manager to lead site operations, drive Lean initiatives, and manage a team of Operations and Area Managers across inbound or outbound functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
• 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Prior experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to enable the FC to meet and exceed business plan.
• Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages staff by sourcing ideas and rolling them into improvement plans for the area.
• Shares best practices across departments, shifts and the network.
• Works with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure support and resources.
