Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead a large-scale fulfillment operation. You will own budgets, develop leaders, and drive Lean initiatives across Inbound or Outbound teams, delivering top-tier customer service every day.

The role requires 7+ years of direct management in manufacturing, production, or distribution, with a track record in staffing lifecycle and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required or 2+ years of equivalent experience (non-education item).
• Experience with Lean techniques and performance metrics is required.
• Experience managing staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• MBA preferred for advancement and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Own the operation – accountability for budgetary performance, people development, and operational excellence across your functional area (Inbound or Outbound).
• Lead and develop leaders – manage, coach, and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers with clear expectations and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement – champion Lean initiatives, process innovations, and quality programs to exceed goals.
• Deliver a world-class customer experience – ensure safety, quality, and performance standards are met or exceeded daily.
• Collaborate cross-functionally – partner with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and peers to secure resources and drive site-wide success.
