Job summary

TYLin’s Aviation team is expanding, and a Senior Mechanical Engineer is needed to support fuel storage and distribution design for airports, ports, and railyard projects. You will contribute to HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection work while ensuring safety and code compliance across domestic and international assignments.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in fuel systems, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and hands‑on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic and surge analysis, and pipe stress

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; Master’s is a plus.
• 8+ years of fuel systems mechanical engineering experience, ideally in aviation.
• PE license preferred or in progress; strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with NFPA, API, ATA 103, EI 1540, JIG, ASHRAE, and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Support the mechanical design of fuel storage and distribution systems.
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs for industrial facilities and fueling sites.
• Prepare contract drawings, specifications, reports, and design documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and surge modeling for safe designs.
• Apply relevant codes and standards for fuel systems and facility design.
• Collaborate with architects, structural and electrical engineers, and fire safety specialists.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews and support design excellence.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical growth.
• Travel as needed.
