Job summary

TYLin's Aviation team is growing, and we are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design fuel systems for complex aviation, port, and railyard projects. You will contribute to multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and travel as needed.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in fuel systems design, strong knowledge of NFPA/API/ATA 103 codes, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraulic/Surge/Pipe Stress analyses, and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of fuel systems mechanical engineering experience, ideally in aviation.
• Proficiency in fuel system controls and emergency shut-off systems.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fuel system design solutions for airports, ports and railyard projects.
• Support mechanical design of fuel storage and distribution systems.
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for facilities.
• Prepare drawings, specs, reports and design documentation.
• Perform calculations and transient/surge modeling for safe designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in QA/QC reviews.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

PE license preferred or in progress
