Job summary

TYLin’s Aviation team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design fuel storage and distribution systems for airports, ports, and railyards. The role also touches HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design within multidisciplinary fueling facilities.

Ideal candidate has 8+ years in fuel systems, experience in aviation, and strong modeling, calculations, and coordination capabilities with architects and engineers. PE license preferred or in progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred
• 8+ years in fuel systems mechanical engineering, aviation preferred
• Knowledge of NFPA, API, ATA 103, EI 1540, JIG, ASHRAE codes
• Experience producing design deliverables and reports

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design of fuel storage and distribution systems
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for industrial facilities
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and design documentation
• Perform engineering calculations and surge modeling
• Apply codes and standards and ensure compliance
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in QA/QC reviews
