Job summary

Meltwater is seeking a senior frontend leader to drive the development and evolution of our frontend platform in Austin, guiding both hands-on engineering and organizational direction. You will partner with UI leadership to define initiatives around design systems, performance, and frontend architecture, ensuring scalable, accessible, and visually polished user experiences.

You will mentor engineers, own outcomes across system health and productivity, and lead cross-team efforts to raise the bar

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading frontend teams or acting as a technical lead on complex systems.
• Expertise in React and TypeScript with scale-focused architectural decisions.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance, and scalability challenges.
• Experience implementing design systems and cross-team frontend initiatives.
• Proven ability to own outcomes including system health, performance, and developer productivity.
• Experience integrating complex systems via GraphQL and/or REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of frontend engineers, owning delivery, execution quality, and technical direction.
• Own complex frontend systems end-to-end from design to production health.
• Drive org-wide initiatives across design systems, performance, and frontend standards.
• Define and evolve frontend architecture to support scale, reliability, and rapid iteration.
• Establish and enforce high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability.
• Identify and resolve systemic performance and reliability issues in production.
• Build and scale interactive, data-heavy applications and AI-driven workflows.
• Partner with design, backend, and AI/ML teams to shape product direction.
