Meltwater in Miami, FL is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineering Leader to drive the frontend platform's growth, delivering performant, accessible UI at scale and shaping the technical direction.

You will mentor frontend engineers, own complex systems end-to-end, and partner with design, backend, and AI/ML teams to align product direction with engineering standards. This role blends hands-on coding with team leadership and cross‑functional influence.

Qualifications

• Expertise in React and TypeScript and architectural decision-making at scale.
• Proven experience leading frontend teams or as a technical lead on complex systems.
• Track record owning large-scale, production-critical frontend systems.
• Experience driving cross-team or org-level initiatives (design systems, platform work, performance).
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance tradeoffs, and scalability challenges.
• Experience integrating complex systems via GraphQL and/or REST APIs.
• Exceptional debugging across browser, performance, and production environments.
• Demonstrated ownership of codebase health, system reliability, and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend engineers, own delivery, and set technical direction.
• Own complex frontend systems end-to-end, from design to long-term production health.
• Drive org-wide initiatives across design systems, performance, and frontend standards.
• Define and evolve frontend architecture to support scalability, reliability, and rapid product iteration.
• Establish high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability.
• Identify and resolve systemic performance and reliability issues in production.
• Build and scale interactive, data-heavy applications and AI-driven workflows.
• Partner with design, backend, and AI/ML teams to shape product direction and user experience.
• Guide long-term UI technical strategy and key architectural decisions across teams.
