Scribd, Inc. seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer to drive the Web Modernization program and build frontend foundations for our next‑generation web experiences.

You will lead modernization of complex apps into a microfrontend ecosystem, creating reusable patterns and foundations for future work. You will ship production‑level frontend code, define architectural patterns, and partner with product and platform teams to ensure performance and impact while growing our Scribd suite of products.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
• Deep experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Hands‑on experience with Next.js or similar modern web frameworks.
• Familiarity with Microfrontend architectures, monorepos, or shared frontend platforms.
• Strong understanding of web performance, bundling, and optimization techniques.
• Experience collaborating with backend and platform teams to define clean integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead modernization workstreams migrating legacy web applications into a modern Microfrontend ecosystem.
• Ship production‑critical frontend code and define patterns and boundaries for other teams to reuse.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure performance, developer experience, and user impact remain high during transition.
