Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to drive its Web Modernization program and create the frontend foundations for next-generation web experiences.

You will own major modernization workstreams, migrating legacy apps to a modern Microfrontend ecosystem, while keeping performance and developer experience top of mind. You will ship production frontend code, define reusable patterns, and partner with product and platform teams to implement durable architectural changes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of frontend software engineering.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on with Next.js or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with microfrontend architectures and monorepos.
• Understanding of web performance and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead modernization workstreams migrating legacy apps to a modern Microfrontend ecosystem.
• Ship production-grade frontend code and define reusable patterns.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and platform teams.
• Ensure performance, developer experience, and user impact stay high.
• After modernization, build features for publishers to upload and readers to consume documents.
