Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead modernization of legacy web apps into a modern Microfrontend ecosystem.

You will ship production-grade frontend code, define reusable patterns, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive durable architectural changes. After modernization, you will work on a product team to build features enabling publishers to upload documents and readers to consume them.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
• Deep experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js or similar modern web frameworks.
• Familiarity with Microfrontend architectures, monorepos, or shared frontend platforms.
• Strong understanding of web performance, bundling, and optimization techniques.
• Experience collaborating with backend and platform teams to define clean integration patterns.
• Comfort operating in environments with high traffic, high visibility, and real user impact.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; thrives in a remote, documentation-driven culture.
