Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead modernization efforts and build the frontend foundations for next‑gen web experiences.

You will migrate legacy apps into a Microfrontend ecosystem, implement reusable patterns, and ensure performance and developer experience stay strong during the transition. In this role, you will ship production frontend code, define architectural boundaries, and collaborate across product and platform teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
• Deep experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js or similar modern web frameworks.
• Familiarity with Microfrontend architectures, monorepos, or shared frontend platforms.
• Strong understanding of web performance, bundling, and optimization techniques.
• Experience collaborating with backend and platform teams to define clean integration patterns.
• Comfort operating in environments with high traffic, high visibility, and real user impact.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; thrives in a remote, documentation-driven culture.

Responsibilities
