Scribd, Inc. is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to drive the Web Modernization program and build frontend foundations for the next generation of web experiences.

You will lead major modernization workstreams, migrating legacy apps into a modern Microfrontend ecosystem while preserving performance and developer experience. The role is hands‑on, shipping production frontend code, defining reusable patterns, and partnering with product and platform teams to enable durable architectural changes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
• Deep experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js or similar modern web frameworks.
• Familiarity with Microfrontend architectures, monorepos, or shared frontend platforms.
• Strong understanding of web performance, bundling, and optimization techniques.
• Experience collaborating with backend and platform teams to define clean integration patterns.
• Comfort operating in environments with high traffic, high visibility, and real user impact.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; thrives in a remote, documentation-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of legacy web apps into a modern Microfrontend ecosystem.
