Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline; four (4) years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Seven (7) years' experience in Software Database and Repository Interface Development.
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) and standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Full-stack experience with backend development and API design (RESTful/GraphQL).
• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GovCloud a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of UI/front-end developers with guidance, standards, and code reviews.
• Architect and implement scalable front-end solutions using modern frameworks.
• Translate prototypes and design specifications into functional, responsive, accessible interfaces.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design APIs and ensure efficient data flow.
• Contribute to full-stack efforts including backend services and deployments.
• Enforce front-end coding standards, best practices, and component reuse.
• Partner with UX/UI and systems engineers to preserve design intent during implementation.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and cross-browser issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and architectural decisions.
• Ensure accessibility compliance (Section 508, WCAG) throughout development.
