Job summary

ARSIEM Corporation in Maryland is seeking an experienced UI Front End Software Engineer to lead a team of UI developers and shape front-end architecture while remaining hands-on across the full software product lifecycle in an agile environment.

The role involves translating UX/UI designs into accessible interfaces, mentoring juniors, and collaborating with system engineers and product stakeholders to resolve technical problems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading or mentoring a development team.
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) and standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Full-stack experience including backend development (Node.js, Python, Java, RESTful/GraphQL API design).
• Experience with state management, component-based architecture, and responsive design.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud is a plus).
• Experience working closely with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure accessible interfaces.
• Twelve (12) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
• Seven (7) years' experience in Software Database and Repository Interface Development.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Lead and mentor a team of UI/front-end developers, providing technical guidance and code review.
• Architect and implement scalable, maintainable front-end solutions using modern frameworks.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs, ensuring efficient data flow between front-end and back-end systems.
• Contribute to full-stack development efforts as needed, including backend services and deployment pipelines.
• Participate in sprint planning, technical estimation, and architectural decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG) throughout development.
