Job summary

J&T in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a senior UI Front-End / Front-End Software Engineer (Level 3) to lead front-end architecture, technical standards, and UI delivery for mission-critical operations. You will mentor a team while remaining hands-on across the full software lifecycle in an agile environment.

Translate designs into accessible interfaces, architect component-based systems, integrate RESTful/GraphQL APIs with back-end teams, and ensure quality and WCAG/Section 508 compliance.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 12+ years of software engineering on programs of similar scope, or 16 years without degree.
• Minimum of 7 years dedicated to software database and repository interface development.
• Practical full-stack experience with back-end technologies and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor front-end engineering teams, provide technical direction and reviews.
• Translate designs into accessible, standards-compliant user interfaces (Section 508, WCAG).
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to design and integrate RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Contribute to full-stack efforts including back-end services, databases, and CI/CD.
• Document system designs, test plans, and engineering standards.
