Job summary

J&T Business Consulting in Annapolis Junction, MD, seeks a senior UI Front-End / Front-End Software Engineer (Level 3) to lead front-end architecture and UI delivery for mission-critical operations.

You will mentor a team, remain hands-on across the full software lifecycle, translate UX/UI designs into responsive interfaces, and collaborate with back-end teams to design robust APIs while ensuring accessibility and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 12+ years of software engineering on programs of similar scope (or 16 years without a degree).
• Minimum of 7 years in software database and repository interface development.
• Full‑stack experience with back‑end technologies and RESTful/GraphQL API design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor front-end engineering teams, providing technical direction and code reviews.
• Translate design specifications into accessible, standards‑compliant interfaces (Section 508, WCAG).
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to design and integrate RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Contribute to full‑stack efforts including back-end microservices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and optimize complex database/repository interfaces and queries.
• Engage with systems engineers and stakeholders to derive software requirements and resolve challenges.
• Author and review system documentation, test plans, and engineering standards.
