Compass is seeking Senior Software Engineers to join the Boston engineering team building the only end-to-end platform for real estate. You will design and deliver scalable microservices and modern frontend interfaces in a fast-growing company.

We value leadership, collaboration, and craftsmanship; you will mentor teammates, participate in architecture decisions, and apply AI/ML insights to improve agent workflows.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years building high-performance software in TS/JS/HTML/CSS.
• 5+ years with React and NodeJS.
• 3+ years using AWS/cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated technical leadership with cross-team impact.
• Strong design sense and user-focused UX.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; embraces CI/CD and Agile.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain high-performance microservices and cloud infrastructure with frontend interfaces.
• Define and lead delivery of complex technical projects across the stack.
• Integrate AI models, data pipelines, and telemetry to automate workflows.
• Conduct rigorous code/design reviews and write automated tests.
• Document architectures, runbooks, and specs; own services lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor peers.
