Job summary

Compass is seeking Senior Software Engineers I and II to join a world-class engineering team building the end-to-end platform for real estate agents. You will lead technical initiatives across domains like CRM and Broker Productivity, shaping dashboards, notifications, and reporting interfaces.

We value strong front-end and back-end skills, including Typescript, React, NodeJS, and cloud experience with AWS.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing software in Typescript, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
• 5+ years of experience with React and NodeJS.
• 3+ years of experience using AWS/cloud technologies.
• Track record as a technical leader with cross-team impact.
• Strong communication, design, and engineering on-call mindset.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain high-performance, distributed microservices and cloud infrastructure.
• Drive delivery of complex projects across the full stack.
• Incorporate AI models, data pipelines, and telemetry to automate workflows.
• Perform rigorous code/design reviews and write automated tests.
• Own services and document architectures, runbooks, and specs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor peers to raise engineering quality.
