Job summary

Vanguard seeks an individual contributor on the Personal Wealth Control and Oversight team to strengthen fraud risk management through market awareness, control innovation, and risk evaluation.

You will participate in industry forums, monitor trends and regulatory developments, identify opportunities for automation, and evaluate new fraud technologies to improve governance and detection, while partnering with cross‑functional teams to drive practical, business‑aligned solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in fraud risk management within wealth management or financial services.
• Understanding of fraud threats, control design, and risk assessment practices.
• Ability to identify process improvements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Familiarity with automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities relevant to fraud risk management and control optimization.
• Experience evaluating products, processes, or technology solutions through a risk and control lens.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate across a matrixed organization.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in industry forums and external engagements to stay current on fraud threats and evolving technology solutions.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and market practices to strengthen fraud oversight capabilities.
• Identify and lead opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains across fraud risk and control activities.
• Evaluate and apply AI and other advanced technologies to improve governance and detection workflows.
• Assess new and existing fraud technology solutions for fit, effectiveness, and scalability.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive practical, business-aligned fraud risk solutions.
• Develop recommendations and business cases for control enhancements and automation.
• Support governance, reporting, and oversight activities by documenting findings and tracking recommendations.
