Job summary

Vanguard is seeking an experienced fraud risk professional to strengthen governance and oversight for its Personal Wealth business. The role emphasizes proactive threat awareness, control innovation, and robust risk evaluation across wealth management channels.

You will lead process improvements, leverage automation and analytics, and apply AI-enabled solutions to enhance risk detection, decision support, and governance workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience in fraud risk management, controls, or oversight within financial services.
• Strong understanding of fraud threats, control design, and risk assessment across client and digital channels.
• Familiarity with automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities for fraud risk management.
• Experience evaluating products, processes, or technology through a risk and control lens.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Participate in industry forums and external engagements to stay current on fraud threats and innovative tech solutions.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and market practices to strengthen fraud oversight.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains across fraud risk and control activities.
• Evaluate and apply AI and other technologies to improve governance, workflows, and risk detection.
• Assess new and existing fraud tech solutions for fit, effectiveness, and scalability.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive practical, business-aligned fraud risk solutions.
• Develop recommendations and business cases for control enhancements and automation opportunities.
• Support governance, reporting, and oversight by documenting findings and tracking recommendations.
