Job summary

Vanguard in Malvern is seeking an individual contributor to strengthen fraud risk management through proactive market awareness, control innovation, and product risk evaluation.

You will participate in industry forums, monitor trends, lead process improvements, and apply AI and automation to enhance governance and risk detection.

Collaborate across enterprise fraud, product, technology, operations, risk, compliance and legal to drive practical, business-aligned fraud risk solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in fraud risk management, controls, operational risk, or oversight within wealth management, brokerage, banking, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of fraud threats, control design, and risk assessment across client, operational, and digital channels.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.
• Familiarity with automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities relevant to fraud risk management and control optimization.
• Experience evaluating products, processes, or technology solutions through a risk and control lens.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate across a matrixed organization.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in industry forums and external engagements to stay current on fraud threats and trends.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and market practices to strengthen oversight capabilities.
• Identify and lead opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains across fraud risk and control activities.
• Evaluate application of artificial intelligence and other technologies to improve governance and risk detection.
• Assess fraud technology solutions for fit, effectiveness, and scalability.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive practical, business-aligned fraud risk solutions.
• Develop recommendations and business cases for control enhancements and automation opportunities.
• Support governance, reporting, and oversight by documenting findings and tracking recommendations.
