Job summary

Gemini is seeking a Senior Fraud Operations Associate in New York to enhance and expand fraud detection across Exchange, Cards, and more. You will investigate first to third-party fraud, analyze device telemetry and blockchain data, and collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to optimize fraud models and operations.

You will balance customer friction with security, participate in weekly leadership reviews, and may work extended hours during fraud events.

Qualifications

• Direct fraud investigative experience across multiple product lines and payment types.
• Strong ability to review complex data sets and make informed decisions.
• Comfortable in high-ambiguity environments and balancing fraud with customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate financial fraud and scams across multiple product lines
• Review complex data sets, such as ACH/debit card/credit card/wallet transactions, device telemetry, and blockchain data
• Respond to customers to obtain additional information regarding the actions that occurred on their account to make a properly informed decision
• Identify trends and patterns in fraud activity and suggest rule, feature, and policy updates
• Deeply understand the customer journeys to identify pain points due to fraud controls and suggest updates to alleviate them
• Leverage experience and knowledge to suggest improvements to operational flows
• Prepare fraud reports on material investigations and general fraudulent activity and present to leadership at weekly meetings
• This role may require an on-call or extended hours during fraud events
