Job summary

Gemini is seeking a Senior Fraud Operations Associate to enhance fraud detection and mitigation across Exchange, Credit Card, Equities, Predictions, Wallet, and the customer lifecycle. You will investigate first, second, and third-party fraud, analyze device telemetry and blockchain data, and work with product, engineering, and data science to refine models and rules.

You will balance security with customer experience, identify fraud trends, prepare reports, and possibly work extended hours

Qualifications

• BA/BS in finance, economics, or accounting, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of direct fraud investigative experience, incl. ACH and credit card fraud.
• 2–5+ years in scam and account integrity investigations.
• Knowledge of device telemetry data, account integrity systems, and VPNs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable with decision-making in high ambiguity environments.
• Empathy balanced with skepticism and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Investigate financial fraud and scams across product lines.
• Review complex data sets (ACH/debit/credit/wallet transactions, device telemetry, blockchain data).
• Respond to customers to gather information for informed decisions.
• Identify trends and suggest rule, feature, and policy updates.
• Understand customer journeys to improve fraud controls with minimal friction.
• Propose improvements to operational flows based on experience.
• Prepare fraud reports and present to leadership weekly.
• Role may require on-call or extended hours during fraud events.
