Job summary

Gemini is seeking a Senior Fraud Operations Associate within the Risk Engineering team. You will investigate fraud across Exchange, Cards, Equities, Predictions, Wallet, and the full customer lifecycle, shaping fraud models and rules with product, engineering, and data science.

You’ll work to balance customer friction with effective security, review complex datasets, and drive improvements in operational fraud workflows; on-call hours may be required during fraud events.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in finance, economics, accounting, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of direct fraud investigation experience (ACH, credit card).
• 2–5+ years of direct scam and account integrity investigation experience.
• Knowledge of device telemetry data, account integrity systems, and internet technologies (VPNs).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to decide in high-ambiguity environments.

Responsibilities

• Investigate fraud and scams across multiple product lines.
• Review data sets: ACH/debit/credit/wallet + device telemetry + blockchain data.
• Request additional information from customers to inform decisions.
• Identify trends and update rules, features, and policies.
• Understand customer journeys to improve fraud controls and reduce friction.
• Suggest improvements to operational flows based on experience.
• Prepare fraud reports for weekly leadership reviews.
• Possibly on-call or extended hours during fraud events.
