Job summary

Osmo in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a Senior QC Technician to lead day-to-day quality judgments for incoming raw materials and outgoing fragrance products. You will apply sensory olfactive evaluation and real-time accept/reject calls, with escalation to the QC Manager only when necessary.

You’ll maintain and calibrate GC/MS, photosampler, and other lab instrumentation, keep audit-ready records, and mentor QC staff while partnering with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Fragrance Development to ensure

Qualifications

• Fragrance industry experience or exposure required.
• Technical degree preferred (Chemistry/Chemical Engineering) or equivalent lab experience.
• Strong documentation habits and hands-on lab skills.

Responsibilities

• Judge incoming raw material results and decide if out-of-spec readings are defects.
• Apply olfactive judgment to evaluate raw materials and finished goods.
• Run triangulation testing on outgoing product to confirm batch consistency.
• Make real-time accept/reject calls and escalate only ambiguous cases.
• Cover QC sign-off when the QC Manager is unavailable.
• Maintain and calibrate lab instrumentation and keep audit-ready records.
• Mentor QC staff on fragrance testing and olfactive judgment.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving, and Fragrance Development.
