Osmo is seeking a Senior QC Technician to uphold daily quality judgments for fragrance materials and finished goods at our Elizabeth, NJ site. You will perform sensory evaluations and manage instrumentation, enabling real-time accept/reject decisions to keep production moving.

Qualifications

• Fragrance industry experience or exposure required.
• Ability to make high-frequency accept/reject calls independently.
• Trained nose for sensory evaluation of fragrance materials and finished goods.
• Strong hands-on experience with lab instrumentation; GC/GCMS a plus.
• Strong documentation habits.
• On-site in Elizabeth, NJ, 5 days a week.
• Technical degree preferred; equivalent lab experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Judge incoming raw material results and decide when an out-of-spec reading is a real defect.
• Apply sensory evaluation to raw materials and finished goods.
• Run triangulation testing on outgoing product to confirm it matches prior batches.
• Make accept/reject calls in real time, escalating only genuinely ambiguous cases.
• Cover QC sign-off when the QC Manager is unavailable, keeping finished‑goods flow moving.
• Maintain and run lab instrumentation, including calibration checks.
• Maintain audit-ready lab records: test logs and certificates of analysis.
• Mentor QC Tech staff on fragrance‑specific testing.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving, and Fragrance Development on sample flow.
