Job summary

Osmo in Elizabeth, NJ, is seeking a Senior QC Technician to lead day-to-day quality judgments across raw materials and finished fragrance. You will apply sensory and instrumental testing to ensure product integrity, make real-time accept/reject calls, and step in for QC Manager when needed.

You'll maintain GC/MS and other lab instrumentation, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse to optimize sample flow. On-site, five days a week, with growth in a building QC function.

Qualifications

• Fragrance industry experience or exposure required.

Responsibilities

• Judge incoming raw material results from automated testing and decide if readings indicate defects
• Apply olfactive judgment to evaluate raw materials and finished goods
• Run triangulation testing on outgoing product to confirm batch consistency
• Make real-time accept/reject calls and escalate only ambiguous cases
• Cover QC sign-off when QC Manager is unavailable
• Maintain and calibrate lab instrumentation and keep records
• Mentor QC tech staff in fragrance testing and judgment
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving on sample flow
