Job summary

Osmo seeks a dedicated QC Technician to join its Elizabeth, NJ lab, where you will judge raw materials and finished fragrance using sensory and instrumental methods, ensuring quality before shipping. You will deliver real-time accept/reject decisions and mentor junior staff daily.

You will maintain GC/GCMS equipment, calibration checks, and audit-ready records while collaborating with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Fragrance Development to optimize sample flow and testing turnaround.

Qualifications

• Fragrance industry experience or exposure required.
• Strong hands-on experience with lab instrumentation.
• Able to make high-frequency accept/reject calls.

Responsibilities

• Judge raw material results to distinguish defects from natural variation.
• Apply olfactory judgment to evaluate materials and finished goods.
• Run triangulation testing on outgoing product.
• Make real-time accept/reject calls, escalate when needed.
• Cover QC sign-off in the Manager's absence.
• Maintain lab instrumentation and calibrations.
• Keep audit-ready test records and certificates of analysis.
• Mentor QC staff on fragrance-specific testing.
