Qualifications

• CPA required for an accounting-precision role.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in client services, outsourced accounting, or professional services.
• Deep technical knowledge: US GAAP, revenue recognition, COGS, inventory, costing.
• Comfortable with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, Gusto, and Shopify; startup experience.
• Startup-focused with CPG industry exposure; strong communicator for founders.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements without losing focus; high ownership mentality.

Responsibilities

• Lead Controller for a portfolio of client engagements and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Oversee month-end close processes and technical accounting matters.
• Partner with founders/CEOs to provide financial insight and clarity.
• Identify risks early and escalate appropriately.
• Maintain strong client relationships and uphold brand standards.
• Provide pod-level leadership, coaching, and accountability for accounting staff.
